Playoff Information

Projected start dates  (Biddy - June 18th)  (Midgets - June 19th or June 21st)  (Knee Hi - June 23rd)

Double elimination tournament

Teams with .500 or better qualify for the playoffs - maximum of 8 teams

Both teams pay the umpires - Home team pays the plate umpire - Visitors pay the base umpire

Home team supplies 2 new baseballs - should have 2 other game balls available

Higher seed is the home team

Mercy rules applies

Pitching rules and pitch counts apply

If your organization has more then 1 team in the playoffs make sure you have another league approved field available

If you are rained out - you play the next night

·         85 pitches per day (If a pitcher throws more than 85 pitches to complete an at bat, that pitcher is credited with 85 pitches for the appearance)
 
BIDDY
·         01-20 Pitches: 0 day rest
·         21-44 Pitches: 1 day rest
·         45-59 Pitches: 2 days rest
·         60-70 Pitches: 3 days rest
·         140 pitches for 1 week period
·         70 pitches per day (if a pitcher throws more than 70 pitches to complete an at bat, that pitcher is credited with 70 pitches for the appearance)
Exception: If a pitcher reaches the limit imposed for his league age while facing a batter, the pitcher may continue to pitch until any one of the following conditions occurs:
1. That batter reaches base,
2. That batter is put out,
3. The third out is made to complete the half-inning.
Note 1: A pitcher who delivers 50 or more pitches in a game cannot play the position of catcher for the remainder of that day.
